I am using the Maxima Pro Plus+ 10W-50 Synthetic Motorcycle Engine Oil, bought on Amazon. I also found a good source for the o-rings, online. Ordered about 25 of each size (oil filter and the three sizes for the oil screens), for pennies each. I have two KTM that are using same oil, filters and o-rings, so it makes sense.

Some days ago a problem appeared: I notice tiny oil drops under air filter box near the place where the crankcase gas hose connect to airbox. Our jets are volcano shaped and designed to disperse debris rather than clog. The hole with the potential for clogging is actually a very, very, very short passage. Oil flows onto the top of the jet and is forced down. It's a brass jet which is already highly torqued. KTM recommends 3 ft.lbs. torque on this jet which makes me slightly uneasy.

I just did my 2nd oil change at 4306 miles and found these large metal shavings stuck to the magnets. One of the oil screens was also quite bent; not sure if it happened while in the bike or the tech who did the first service bent it. i have a 2020 ktm adventure with 6957 miles. service light came on while riding. i change my oil every 5000 miles regardless. tried this sequence mentioned above. didn't work. service light said 7-5-23. just changed the service date back to 2022. hit set, cycled the key.
