Ford place this unit and the main Ecu on the Mondeo underneath the passenger's wheel arch ,the most ridiculous spot to place these fragile electrical units . Because of the location these units are prone to rust and water ingress.
I have got my Mercedes CLK here, which had a lot of work done on its air con last year at the local Merc dealership in Treviso, with a new condensor and receiver/dryer fitted. Big bill.
