Except I can't access it, the door does nothing. Depending on the character, the second player can blind and spot invisible enemies and find items. Player two can also throw grenades/bricks and use melee attacks. Only player one has a gun. There are also doors and chests that can only be opened by the support character. Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a nice entry in the franchise. A good balance between shooting and exploration, it could be a great link to the next entry in the series. However, the lack of online co-op campaign it's a big mistake.
Raid mode is good too, but only online coop. 2 looks better graphically (but runs at 30) and has 2 player coop in campaign and raid. The campaign is creepier, but more linear, not as strong as one. However the mechanics are better in 2, and Raid mode is evolved so much from the first.

Best co-op Resident Evil game in a long while, Revelations 2 is hampered by writing and weird dialogue that can be terribly awkward or funny. Despite these shortcomings, it is an extremely underrated title with some really great setpieces and music and contains Barry - who is one of my favourite RE characters after this game.

Vita games are pretty notorious for having awful load times, but Resident Evil: Revelations 2 takes the cake. Get ready to wait for over a minute for cutscenes to load, then another minute after Local co-op was available at launch for the console versions of Resident Evil: Revelations 2.
