To get more power, KTM borrowed the cylinders, pistons and con rods from the 1290 Super Duke R, bumping the LC8 V-twin’s displacement from 1,195cc to 1,301cc with a 3mm larger bore and 2mm ENGINE: 1190cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 75 degree V-Twin WEIGHT: 235kg FUEL CAPACITY: 23-litres SEAT HEIGHT: 890mm SUSPENSION TRAVEL: 220mm GROUND CLEARANCE: 250mm FRONT WHEEL: 21″ REAR WHEEL: 18″ The bike doesn’t want to go slow, that’s for sure, and at every opportunity, you become possessed and feel the need to overtake. Road & dirt touring. Perfect for all adventure and touring bikes. 5.25" (135mm) elongated design for great visibility. The 75-degree LC8 V-twin excels in some areas, but lacks in others. If you like to live in the past and have never experienced anything other than a pushrod V-twin, I would highly suggest you step Jalopniik/Lanesplitter just posted a review claiming the new Honda AT is better than KTM's big bikes off road .Now I don't gulp any brand's Kool-Aid, but I found this hard to believegranted, this is one rider's opinion and he did admit to being fairly inexperienced. KTM changed airbox manufacturer MY2015 and that problem is fixed 2015 onwards, period. I owned very reliable and fun bike about 10 years (GS in my profile picture) but when I changed it to current one, I got whole new extra layer to adventure riding.
